** IMPORTANT **
Yesterday’s workshop was rescheduled to next week Wednesday, December 14, due to poor weather conditions. We hope you will join us on the Photo Walk.
Join us for some Food, Fotos and Fun on December 14 for a year end Imagemakers Workshop on a Honolulu City Lights Photo Walk.
Let’s learn how to best capture the lights of that magical hour at twilight. Professional photographer, Ricky Li will help us learn how to make wonderful images this coming Thursday evening.
Ricky says “If the weather cooperates it should be a fun night, the technique we’ll be playing with is long exposure, and you’ll be able to apply it to taking star trails, night landscapes, fireworks, traffic pics and of course Christmas lights. DSLRs are of course preferred, but really any camera that gives you manual control over the exposure or even just a ‘fireworks’ settings should work. Only thing I recommend is you need a tripod, holding a camera for 30 seconds in some cases might be a bit rough.”
We’ll meet up between 4:30 and 5:00 p.m. at the King Kamehameha Statue, check our gear and talk tips. From there we’ll follow Ricky Li and make our way to the exhibits at City Hall. When we’re done with our workshop, we’ll walk on over to the Cafe Julia at the YWCA on Richards Street for a holiday evening meal and socializing.
Let us know you will join us (because we want to let the restaurant know in advance) by registering at:
