HMAUS Apple Harvest 2012

  • by

Every year at this time, HMAUS stages its popular Mactoberfest community event.  But this year we are trying something a little different, hosting our fest in November.  Call it… Apple Harvest.

Date :  Saturday, November 10, 2012;

Time : 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM

(Tip: Don’t miss anything — Arrive Early! Doors open at 8:45 AM)

Location :  Dave & Buster’s – 1030 Auahi St, in Kakaako; Atop the Ward Cineplex

We’ll start the day right — with a hearty good breakfast — then dive into the cornucopia of 2012 (via live webcast) with none other than our good friend Christopher Breen from Macworld magazine.  He’ll show off the new OS’s, the sleek new iPhone, among other iThings, and get down in detail about how it all may (or may not) make digital life more fun.

Complementing Chris will be video-blogger-extraordinaire, Gary Rosenzweig from MacMost.com, who will illuminate Apple product integration, using the Pages app for iPad as an example.

And, from the outer limits — Rod Roddenberry (son of Supreme Spaceman, Gene Roddenberry) will take us on a journey to Trek Nation, a son’s reflection on Star Trek and the impact the famous TV-series has had on our vision of the future; plus take us behind the scenes of his latest creation — Whiteroom: 02B3, a sci-fi adventure shot with a 360-degree camera (?) and Apple system workflow…of course.

Later, back on Earth, four of our own Apple geniuses — Doc RockBeth GrechJerome Koehler, and Ross Rasmussen — will share real-world insight that will help us to be way more creative and productive with our digital tools.

It’s gonna be Fun!
